KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 12): Tan Sri Jaganath Derek Steven Sabapathy has stepped down as the non-independent non-executive deputy chairman of technology solutions provider Microlink Solutions Bhd, with immediate effect.

In a bourse filing on Friday, Microlink cited Jaganath’s other personal commitments as the reason for his resignation.

Also known as Jagan Sabapathy, he was appointed to the group’s board as a non-independent director in October 2017.

He was then redesignated as the group’s non-independent non-executive chairman in August 2021.

According to Microlink’s latest annual report, Jagan is the founder and chief executive officer/director of Tribeca Real Estate Asset Management Sdn Bhd, a niche property development company.

He is also a non-independent non-executive director of Sime Darby Property Bhd and an independent non-executive director of Principal Asset Management Bhd.

Shares of Microlink closed unchanged at 87.5 sen on Friday, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM933.01 million.
