<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 22): Construction outfit TRC Synergy Bhd has secured a RM23.8 million contract from the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) to design and build a flood mitigation dam in Gombak, Selangor.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>In a bourse filing on Friday, TRC Synergy said its wholly-owned subsidiary Trans Resources Corp Sdn Bhd had on Thursday received the letter of acceptance from the department.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>“Barring unforeseen circumstances, the board is of the opinion that the project will contribute positively to the group's earnings and earnings per share in the future,” it said.</p></div><div class=inPageAd id=div-gpt-ad-inpage></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>For the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2023 (3QFY2023), TRC Synergy posted a 94.9% rise in net profit to RM5.88 million from RM3.02 million a year earlier on the back of higher other income — which included a fair value gain on investment property and gain on disposal of property, plant and equipment amounting to RM2.5 million and RM2.21 million respectively.</p></div>
