KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 13): Point-of-sale systems provider Cuscapi Bhd, in which MyEG Services Bhd founder Wong Thean Soon has a shareholding of close to 31%, has sold off the entire 12.08 million shares it holds in MyEG for RM11.11 million cash.

The disposal netted Cuscapi a gain of RM22,232, which will go towards its working capital, Cuscapi said in a bourse filing. Its original cost of investment in the stake was RM11.09 million.

The stake was disposed of on July 27, Nov 28 and Dec 12.

“The disposal serves as an opportunity for the company to realise some gains from the investment and to improve its cash flow,” Cuscapi added.

Wong's stake in Cuscapi comprises a directly held 21.955%, and an indirect 8.811%. Wong is also MyEG’s largest shareholder with a 28.805% stake, followed by Retirement Fund Inc (KWAP) with a 7.331% stake.

Shares of Cuscapi settled half a sen or 2.94% higher at 17.5 sen on Wednesday, giving it a market capitalisation of RM160.76 million. MyEG shares closed unchanged at 81.5 sen, with a market value of RM6.12 billion.
