KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 4): Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) said its MAE app is set to support the distribution of the one-off RM100 credit initiative under the eMadani programme, which will benefit some 10 million Malaysians under the B40 and M40 groups.
In a statement on Monday, the banking group said the eMadani credit distribution will also further accelerate cashless payment adoption and acceptance for local merchants in the country.
“With rising costs of goods and essential items, the cash assistance is a needed respite, especially within the identified groups and we are more than happy to assist in these efforts.
“The eMadani programme will also have the spill-over effect to spur trade among our local merchants through seamless and convenient QR payment transactions.
“This is aligned with Maybank’s M25+ strategic thrusts to intensify customer centricity by increasing customer satisfaction and making our services easily accessible to all,” said Maybank Group president and CEO Datuk Khairussaleh Ramli.
Maybank also said that in 2024, MAE app users who are eligible to claim the eMadani credit will stand a chance to win up to RM500,000 in prizes such as a Proton S70, gold bars, cash prizes and much more in Maybank’s Tebus, Belanja dan Menang campaign.
In addition, in full support of the local micro, small and medium merchants, users can also earn extra entries with Tap, Track & Win when they spend the RM100 eMadani credit at certain merchants nationwide.
