In a bourse filing on Friday, the 48-year-old Tengku Ibrahim cited "to pursue his personal interests in new fields" as the reason for resigning from the group's board, with immediate effect.

Tengku Ibrahim, who also serves as the treasurer of Koperasi Kerabat D'Raja Kelantan Al-Muhammadi Bhd, holds several positions in various organisations, including deputy chairman of Koperasi Sri Nilam Bhd, and company director at both Zaman Anggun Sdn Bhd and Anggun Jati Sdn Bhd. In a separate bourse filing, Kumpulan Jetson also announced that Datuk Mohd Efendi Omar, 40, has resigned from his position as an independent and non-executive director with immediate effect, citing the same reason: "to pursue his personal interests in new fields".

Both Tengku Ibrahim and Mohd Efendi were appointed to the board on Oct 6, with Tengku Ibrahim appointed to replace the former group's executive chairman Datuk Teh Kian An, who resigned due to health issues.

Efendi Omar is to replace Edward Ng Kah Jiun, 28, who has been redesignated as an executive director.

On Tuesday (Nov 21), Kumpulan Jetson also announced that another independent and non-executive director, Muhammad Badri Mukhtar, had resigned from the group with immediate effect.

Kumpulan Jetson is involved in construction, property development, and the manufacturing of anti-vibration systems, chemicals and plastic products.

On Nov 1, the group announced that it had entered into a letter of intent with Datuk Seri Baljinder Singh to negotiate the terms and conditions for the proposed acquisition of 51% of ordinary shares in Magical Era (M) Sdn Bhd, with a cost of approximately RM32 million.

At noon break on Friday, shares in Kumpulan Jetson rose 0.5 sen or 1.92% to 26 sen, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM71.01 million.
