KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 7): ManagePay Systems Bhd's (MPay) group chief executive officer for its payment services segment Tan Yew Loong resigned on Sunday (Nov 5) after spending four years with the electronic payment solutions provider’s senior management.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Tuesday, MPay said that Tan, 47, has stepped down due to his other personal commitments.

Tan became group CEO of MPay's wholly owned unit Managepay Cards Sdn Bhd in May 2019. Prior to that, he had served as general manager of Managepay Cards since December 2016.

MPay's 2022 annual report showed that he was previously responsible for every aspect of its e-payment portfolio, such as technical specification needs, business customisation with respective clients, and retaining a good relationship with existing sponsors such as banks, among others.

“He works closely with all internal stakeholders within MPay in order to achieve the key desirable results,” it said.

MPay shares closed unchanged at 11 sen on Tuesday, valuing the group at RM94.75 million.
