KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 25): Annum Bhd said it is unable to release its annual report for the financial year ended June 30, 2023 (FY2023) by the Oct 31 deadline as required under the listing rules, as the group has been unable to find a suitable auditor since the resignation of the previous auditor.

The plywood product manufacturer said it has approached 31 potential auditors, but their responses were negative with a majority of them citing resource constraints.

“Notwithstanding the above, the company is still actively searching for potential auditors to undertake the audit appointment and expects to issue and submit its annual report 2023 by the end of February 2024,” it added in a bourse filing on Wednesday.

Annum noted that under the Main Market Listing Requirements, Bursa Securities may suspend the trading of the group's shares if it fails to submit the annual report within five market days after the expiry of the relevant deadline.

"The suspension shall be effected on the next market day after the suspension deadline i.e. on Nov 8, 2023 and will be lifted on the market day following the announcement/issuance of the outstanding annual report 2023 unless otherwise determined by Bursa Securities," the group said.

Shares in Annum closed unchanged at 12 sen, giving it a market capitalization of RM25.07 million.
