KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 25): Hextar Technologies Solutions Bhd (HexTech) via its wholly owned financial technology (fintech) unit Hextar Vision Sdn Bhd, has introduced its one-stop fintech mobile super-application (super-app), MoneyX, as part of the group’s diversification into fintech.
MoneyX is a personal financial information management app, supported by artificial intelligence (AI) tools. The app also aims to promote financial literacy and management by making information pertaining to available financial products and services accessible and easily understandable to users.
HexTech group chief executive officer and executive director Datuk Eddie Ong Choo Meng said that the app is a game-changer in managing users’ finances, tackling unorganised financial management and simplifying saturated and confusing financial products, while providing quick access to finance-related tools in the market.
“HexTech has put in a lot of effort into MoneyX, which is one of our key initiatives in the pursuit of opportunities in the technology sector. Our vision for MoneyX is to become the leading fintech company in Malaysia in three years, before going global. With RM100 million allocated to build and promote MoneyX, we are committed to making this vision a reality,” said Ong in a statement on Wednesday.
MoneyX also includes a secure digital vault, where users can store important documents like bills, insurance policies and agreements. Users are given the option to utilise the reminder/notification feature in the app, which will prompt users regarding any upcoming payment or renewal deadlines.
Hextar Vision also unveiled its partnership with 14 companies to aggregate their services on MoneyX, namely Alliance Bank Malaysia, Hong Leong Bank, Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia, M&A Securities, Exsim Development, Finology Sdn Bhd, GKash, Edge Property, ServeDeck Innovation, Theta Edge, Richard Wee Chambers, ShopIQ, MWM Myworld Malaysia and CTOS Data Systems.
Meanwhile, MoneyX has selected Amazon Web Service to deploy automated financial information management in the app.
With up to one million users targeted to adopt MoneyX as their financial information management platform by next year, Hextar Vision is now gearing towards enhancing the in-house mobile app, with full integration with all key potential features by the end of 2024.
The fintech app is currently available for download on both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
At noon break on Wednesday, HexTech shares were down RM1.18 or 4.8% to RM23.40, with a market capitalisation of RM3.01 billion.
