KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 23): Dayang Enterprise Holdings Bhd said the scope of its contract to provide Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd offshore maintenance, construction and modification (MCM) services has been expanded to cover the Sarawak Gas Area.

The duration for the scope expansion is from June 22, 2023 until Dec 31, 2023, said Dayang in a stock exchange filing on Monday.

The value of the contract is based on work orders issued by Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas), which wholly owns Petronas Carigali, throughout the contract duration.

Dayang said the details of the scope of work in relation to the contract will be addressed in a work order which will be issued by Petronas Carigali.

In October last year, Dayang announced that its wholly-owned unit Dayang Enterprise Sdn Bhd was awarded a contract extension for the provision of MCM services from Petronas Carigali. The extension was from Sept 20, 2022 to Dec 31, 2023.

In September 2017, Dayang Enterprise was awarded a five-year contract from Petronas Carigali for the provision of MCM services.

Shares of Dayang, which gained 43% year-to-date, closed two sen or 1.1% lower at RM1.85 on Monday, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM2.14 billion.
