KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 17): Over 200 senior delegates from leading digital disruptors, technology companies, venture capitalists, industry professionals and founders gathered at the Citi Asia Pacific Digital Leaders’ Summit 2023 from October 10-12, 2023 in Kuala Lumpur, to discuss how artificial intelligence can bring forth a new economy and opportunities for growth.

“Asia Pacific is home to over 300 unicorns and continues to be a center of commercial activity supported by a strong entrepreneurial spirit,” said Shervone Saw, head of the digital, technology and communications (DT&C) industry group for Asia Pacific ex Greater China at Citi Commercial Bank (CCB).

Attendees of the summit were connected with home-grown digital disruptors Carsome Group and Sunway Innovation Labs (iLabs), the innovation arm of Sunway Group and Sunway University in an “Innovation Lab Crawl.”

The summit covered topics such as the global and Asia macroeconomic outlook, trends shaping the future of fintech and big data, key trends in capital markets, and the evolution of start-up investment.

“Our global connectivity and partnership between our banking, markets, and services businesses enable us to support our clients holistically across advisory and financing solutions, as well as their day-to-day operations to achieve success,” said Billy Liu, head of DT&C industry group for Greater China at CCB.

According to a CCB Industry Insights Survey published in September, 52% of companies, including those in the DT&C industry are focused on expanding internationally, with Asia being their top destination.
