KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 9): UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd saw a monthly total sales of 9,228 units in September this year, while its year-to-date total sales were at 76,511 units, up 8% compared to 70,872 units sold during the same period last year.
In a statement on Monday, the automotive group said that it achieved sales of 9,020 units for Toyota vehicles and 208 units of Lexus during the month under review.
The sustained growth is also inseparable from the introduction of the new Toyota MY app, which merges the features of the Toyota Drive and Toyota 24 Seven apps into a single app, aiming to offer an enhanced and more seamless digital experience to customers.
“We consistently strived to meet the evolving expectations of our Toyota customers, just as the introduction of the Toyota Yaris, which was tailored for Gen-Z drivers who value style, self-expression, and social standing.
“...Moreover, our commitment to the philosophy of kaizen (continuous improvement) drives us not only to create vehicles that meet drivers’ needs but also to enhance their overall experience and touchpoints. This commitment is evident in our new Toyota MY app,” said UMW Toyota Motor president Datuk Ravindran K in the statement.
