PUTRAJAYA (Sept 1): Solicitor-general Datuk Seri Ahmad Terrirudin Mohd Salleh will be appointed as the new Attorney General beginning Wednesday (Sept 6) replacing Tan Sri Idrus Harun whose contract ends on Sept 5.
The announcement was made by Chief Secretary to the government, Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali in a statement on Friday.
“The appointment is consented by the Yang di Pertuan Agong in line with Article 145(1) of the Federal Constitution. The government would like to thank Idrus for his contributions as AG,” Zuki said.
Before being solicitor-general, Ahmad Terrirudin was chief registrar of the Federal Court.
Idrus was appointed AG replacing Tan Sri Tommy Thomas in March 2020.
