KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 1): AME Elite Consortium Bhd has appointed Tan Teck Eng as the group chief executive officer.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Tuesday (Aug 1), the company said Tan will helm the transformation and growth of the group together with the management team.

AME Elite is an integrated industrial space solutions provider, specialising in the design and construction of large-scale manufacturing plants and the development of modern industrial parks.

Tan, 46, started his career with KPMG Malaysia in 1999 after his graduation from University of Technology, Sydney, Australia.

He was admitted to the Malaysian partnership of KPMG in January 2011 and subsequently in January 2018, he was promoted to partner-in-charge of the KPMG Johor office until his departure in December 2022.

During his tenure with KPMG, Tan had extensive audit work experience in a wide range of industries with key clientele including multinational corporations and public listed companies which are involved in trading and manufacturing businesses relating to the electrical and electronics industry, and also companies that are involved in logistics, plantation, construction and property development.

During his secondment to KPMG Dallas, US from August 2004 to April 2006, he was involved in audit assignments in services, manufacturing and oil and gas industries.  

He has also been involved in the role of reporting accountants for initial public offering assignments and special review engagement involving reverse takeover.

AME Elite shares were up two sen or 1.47% to RM1.38, valuing the group at RM884.13 million.
