KUALA LUMPUR (July 24): Boilermech Holdings Bhd has proposed to change its name to BM GreenTech Bhd.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia on Monday (July 24), the company said the proposed name has been reserved with the Companies Commission of Malaysia on July 10 and is valid until Aug 8.
“The company will apply for an extension of time on the reservation for the proposed name for another 30 days before the expiry on Aug 8,” said the biomass boiler design and manufacturing company.
In a separate filing, Boilertech notified that its joint managing director Leong Yew Cheong had disposed of 6.1 million shares or a 1.18% stake in the company for RM4.36 million.
Leong still owns 5.85% stake in the company. He was appointed to the board in October 2010 and was made the joint managing director in March 2021.
Boilermech’s largest shareholder is Main Market-listed QL Resources Bhd with a 52.57% stake.
The company's shares gained 2.5 sen or 3.45% to 75 sen on Monday, valuing the company at RM384.35 million.
