KUALA LUMPUR (July 12): T7 Global Bhd’s unit Tanjung Offshore Services Sdn Bhd (TOS) has commenced gas production by the TSeven Elise mobile offshore production unit (Mopu) for the Bayan field.
In a statement to the bourse on Wednesday (July 12), the company said the revenue contribution by TSeven Elise MOPU will provide a fixed and recurring income base for T7 Global Group over the next 10 years.
The Mopu is specifically designed for the Bayan Redevelopment Project Gas Phase 2 and located in sub-block 4Q-21 of the Balingian Province, approximately 80km north-west of Bintulu Malaysia LNG (MLNG), and operating at a water depth of around 30 metres.
T7 Global chief executive officer Tan Kay Zhuin expressed gratitude to Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd for entrusting the company with the project.
“We are proud of achieving an impressive milestone of 2.2 million man-hours with zero lost time injury (LTI).
“Our dedicated project team and contractors deserve recognition for their unwavering commitment in completing the Mopu project safely and efficiently,” he said.
Looking ahead, Tan said T7 Global remains steadfast in its commitment to optimise Mopu operations, ensuring uninterrupted production uptime while prioritising environmental protection.
He added that the commencement of the production phase at the Bayan field will ensure a stable supply to the gas market.
At the midday break, T7 Global gained 2.13% or one sen to 48 sen with 1.54 million shares done.
