KUALA LUMPUR (June 13): Agmo Holdings Bhd has inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Alibaba Cloud (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd to evaluate and explore possibilities for an inaugural project in Malaysia, specifically the Alibaba Cloud Enterprise Mobile Application Studio (EMAS) SuperApp Solution and the Agmo electric vehicle (EV) SuperApp.

According to Agmo’s bourse filing on Tuesday (June 13), the MOU is also to support each other in terms of business development and marketing activities to promote these projects.

Alibaba Cloud was incorporated in Malaysia as a private company, and is in the business of providing cloud services including elastic computing, database storage, network visualisation services, large-scale computing, security, management and application services, Big Data analytics, a machine learning platform and Internet of Things (IoT) services.

“Agmo chooses Alibaba Cloud as one of its preferred service providers for cloud resources and products,” said the group.

Agmo further shared that it hopes to “leverage Alibaba Cloud’s advanced technology and proven solutions such as the EMAS SuperApp solution to build its own EV app to provide a more intuitive and streamlined user experience by allowing users to use and remove a range of component tools (mini-apps) as needed.”

Earlier in March, Agmo also entered into an MOU with Mabroor Fintech Holdings Co Ltd and Heydoc Sdn Bhd (Doc2us) to examine the feasibility of providing an end-to-end one-stop integrated hybrid healthcare solution to pilgrims performing their haj and umrah in Saudi Arabia.

Shares in Agmo closed 2.5 sen or 4.85% higher at 54 sen, giving the digital solution and application development specialist a market capitalisation of RM173.78 million.
