KUALA LUMPUR (June 9): Practice Note 17 (PN17) company Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd said it is finalising its financial report for the third quarter ended March 31, 2023 (3QFY2023).

In a bourse filing on Friday (June 9), the beleaguered oil and gas outfit said it is aiming to release the report to Bursa Malaysia by June 13, about a week after the June 7 date it had set earlier.

The group previously missed the May 31 deadline to release the results, due to a "significant loss of manpower and loss of critical personnel".

"The board would like to stress that they are taking serious steps towards identifying suitable replacement candidates to rectify these issues," it said in a filing with the local stock exchange.

Serba Dinamik was also unable to release its quarterly results for 2QFY2023 by the Feb 28 deadline, also citing "significant loss of manpower and loss of critical personnel".

For the quarter, the group's net loss narrowed to RM89.67 million, from RM290.33 million for 2QFY2022, despite revenue declining to RM105.8 million from RM177.14 million.

The group saw trading of its shares temporarily suspended on Dec 23 last year, after it could not submit its annual report for FY2022 by the extended deadline of Dec 15.

It finally submitted the annual report, along with its audited financial statements for FY2022, to Bursa on Jan 12.

Trading of its securities was once again suspended on Jan 18, after the High Court granted a winding-up order against the group.

Serba Dinamik fell into PN17 status on Jan 6, after its external auditor expressed a disclaimer of opinion on its audited financial statements for the 18-month financial period ended June 30, 2021.
