KUALA LUMPUR (May 30): Upcoming township, GENTING XINTIANDI in Gohtong Jaya, Genting Highlands, which has a gross development value (GDV) of more than RM20 billion and a total of eight phases, will be unveiling its first phase on June 16, 2023. The township is jointly-developed by Genting Malaysia Bhd (GenM) and Aset Kayamas.

Phase 1 of the township will feature four towers of serviced apartments, with a total of 2,600 units. The unit types include Type A with a built-up size of 454 sq ft, comprising 1-bedroom and 1-bathroom; Type B with a built-up size of 687 sq ft, featuring 2-bedrooms and 2-bathrooms; and Type C with a built-up size of 973 sq ft, offering 3-bedrooms and 3-bathrooms. The target market includes owner-occupiers and investors in Genting and surrounding catchments, and those are looking for second homes.

The units will be fully-furnished and designed for homebuyers in a bid to eliminate the need for costly and challenging renovation work, according to the developer in a statement on May 25.

“GenM and Aset Kayamas are confident that GENTING XINTIANDI will receive positive response from homebuyers and investors, thanks to its strategic location and exceptional amenities. Both parties are excited about this new milestone and look forward to the synergistic growth of their partnership,” the developer said in the statement.

The mixed-use development will adopt the concept of "Live x Work x Play", and will consist of 37- to 60- storey high-rise buildings with a panoramic view of the city skyline, creating a distinct, and visually appealing urban development that complements the surrounding growth.

Spanning across approximately 60 acres, GENTING XINTIANDI offers a competitive advantage due to its size. The project aims to transform the land into a mixed-commercial hub, encompassing serviced apartments, hotels, bus terminals and commercial spaces with an area up to one million sq ft.

Situated at an altitude of 3,000 ft above sea level, GENTING XINTIANDI is strategically located in Gohtong Jaya, with good accessibility to a myriad of facilities and attractions. The development will be a five-minute drive to Genting Highlands Premium Outlets and just 15 minutes to Resorts World Genting at the peak of Genting Highlands.

On May 25, the sales gallery was officially opened for preview of the units, officiated by Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail. Also present at the event were Genting Malaysia Bhd (GenM) deputy chairman and chief executive Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay and Aset Kayamas chairman Tan Sri Chai Kin Kong.
