KUALA LUMPUR (May 19): DKSH Holdings (M) Bhd's share price rose rose to a one-year high of RM5.60 in morning trade on Friday (May 19), after the company posted firmer first quarter earnings.
Its trading volume stood at 468,200 shares, higher than 20,000 shares on Thursday (May 18) and above its 200-day average volume of 27,154 shares.
The counter closed at RM5.40 for a gain of 42 sen or 8.43% from Thursday’s closing price of RM4.98.
The company’s market capitalisation was RM851.35 million on Friday.
On Thursday, the group posted a higher net profit of RM37.03 million for the first quarter ended March 31, 2023 (1QFY2023), from RM28.35 million a year earlier, on the back of higher revenue.
Its quarterly revenue rose 8.18% to RM1.96 billion from RM1.81 billion a year ago, due to higher sales from its consumer goods and other segments, on the back of higher festive sales in the quarter under review.
