"Creador remains highly committed to supporting CTOS in its pursuit of growth and plans to continue to be a long-term investor.”

KUALA LUMPUR (April 20): Creador has moved the ownership of a 14.7% stake in CTOS Digital Bhd to the private equity firm’s fifth fund — Creador V LP — from Creador II LLC previously.

Creador said the roll-over of this investment was because Creador II, which was launched in August 2013, is approaching the end of its 10-year fund life by August this year.

Creador V, meanwhile, was launched in July 2021, and the purchase price for the 14.7% block was set at RM1.35 per share.

“The fund first invested in CTOS in August 2014, and Creador has been an integral part of the company’s success and sustained performance.

“Creador remains highly committed to supporting CTOS in its pursuit of growth and plans to continue to be a long-term investor,” it said in a statement on Thursday (April 20).

CTOS’ filings with the local stock exchange show that the 14.7% stake or 339.03 million shares were acquired by Creador V through Jade Vine Sdn Bhd.

The latest acquisition brought Creador V’s interest in CTOS to 15.1% or 348.83 million shares in total.

This compares to Creador’s 26.6% equity interest in CTOS in December 2022.

At the time of writing, shares of CTOS were trading one sen or 0.7% higher at RM1.36, valuing it at RM3.14 billion.
