KUALA LUMPUR (April 14): Digital health service provider UCrest Bhd plans to raise up to RM6.34 million via a private placement, which will be used for working capital.

In a bourse filing on Friday (April 14), UCrest said it is proposing to place out up to 70.48 million new shares, representing 10% of its total issued shares, to independent third-party investors at an issue price to be determined later.

As at March 31, UCrest's issued share capital stood at RM52.08 million comprising 691.88 million shares.

Based on an issue price of 9 sen per placement share, the proposed placement is expected to raise between RM6.23 million and RM6.34 million.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the proposed private placement is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2023.

TA Securities Holdings Bhd has been appointed as the principal adviser and placement agent for the exercise.

UCrest shares closed up 0.5 sen or 5.56% at 9.5 sen on Friday, giving it a market capitalisation of RM62.44 million.
