KUALA LUMPUR (April 6): MN Holdings Bhd has secured an underground utilities contract worth RM13.3 million in Johor.
In a statement on Thursday (April 6), the underground utilities and substation engineering specialist said its wholly-owned subsidiary Mutu Nusantara Sdn Bhd had accepted a letter of award from Rentak Segar Sdn Bhd, appointing it to be the subcontractor to supply and install high-voltage underground cable works for two data centres in Johor.
For the first data centre routing, Mutu Nusantara will supply and install 132 kilovolts (KV) double-circuit cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) underground cables from transmission main intake (“PMU”) Financial Centre to the GDS Data Centre substation for GDS Services Ltd.
The second data centre routing will see Mutu Nusantara supply and install 275KV double-circuit XLPE underground cables from PMU Sedenak to the Yellowwood Data Centre.
MN Holdings executive director Datuk Clement Toh said the latest contract win will further strengthen the company’s technical know-how for the construction and engineering of utility infrastructure for a data centre.
Toh said with these new wins, MN Holdings had successfully increased its outstanding order book to RM332.7 million.
He said the contract is expected to contribute positively to the revenue and earnings of the company for the financial year ending June 30, 2023 (FY2023) and FY2024, as well as to the future earnings and net assets per share of the group during the duration of the contract.
At the midday break on Thursday, MN Holdings had risen 1.59% or half a sen to 32 sen, with 2.79 million shares done.
