KUALA LUMPUR (March 23): SkyWorld Development Bhd received the gold standard award for its SkyAwani2 Residences under the affordable housing category at the Malaysia Property Award 2022 organised by the Fiabci-Malaysia International Real Estate Federation. 

According to a press statement on March 18, the award is SkyWorld’s first win at the Fiabci-Malaysia Property Award.

The award was conferred by Melaka governor Tun Mohd Ali Rustam to SkyWorld group chief executive officer Lee Chee Seng at a ceremony at One World Hotel, Bandar Utama on March 18. 

Located on a 2.78-acre parcel off Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, SkyAwani2 Residences comprises 708 residential units priced at RM300,000 as well as 102 commercial lots, across two towers. SkyAwani2 Residences is a Residensi Wilayah development. 

With a gross development value of RM266 million, it offers facilities such as an infinity swimming pool, half basketball court, barbecue pit, children’s playground, family recreational area, sky bridge that connects the two towers, sky lounge, sky garden, yoga studio, fully air-conditioned multipurpose hall, parcel lockers, electric vehicle charging points and a four-tier security system.

Commenting on the award, Lee said, “We are indeed honoured to receive this prestigious award...recognition of SkyAwani 2 Residences under the ‘affordable housing’ category serves as a testament to our commitment to delivering quality homes, as we pledge to continue to prioritise and produce top-notch workmanship through our 'Healthy Building, Healthy Living' principle. 

“This award is a good stepping stone for the team to continue to deliver excellence. Apart from our affordable housing, we will continue to focus on developing quality homes within our Signature Series, which are all well located within the city of Kuala Lumpur,” Lee added. 

The statement also highlighted that SkyAwani2 Residences had achieved a Qlassic score of 79%, and was recognised as the highest Qlassic scorer in Malaysia under the Residensi Wilayah category in 2020 by the Construction Industry Development Board of Malaysia.
