KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 22): IHH Healthcare Bhd said Dr Kelvin Loh Chi-Keon has resigned as its managing director and chief executive officer with effect from Wednesday (Feb 22).
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, IHH Healthcare stated "voluntary resignation" as the reason for the Singaporean's departure from the group.
“He has resigned from all offices held in IHH and IHH group of companies as nominee or representative of any IHH Group company,” the group’s spokesperson told The Edge when contacted.
Loh, 49, was appointed as the group’s CEO and executive director in July 2019, replacing Dr Tan See Leng. He then assumed the position of MD and CEO in January 2020.
“Loh first joined IHH Group in 2008," the bourse filing read. "Between 2008 and 2017, he held a number of senior management roles before taking over as the CEO for its Singapore operations division (now known as IHH Healthcare Singapore), covering, among other services, the four multi-specialty tertiary hospitals — Mount Elizabeth, Mount Elizabeth Novena, Gleneagles and Parkway East.”
Shares of IHH Healthcare closed down six sen or 0.99% at RM5.99 on Wednesday, valuing the group at RM52.75 billion.
