KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 19): Legal firm Chooi & Company + Chang & Ariff (CCA) is set to be dissolved to pave the way for the re-establishment of the two pre-merger firms.

“The partners of CCA have now decided to dissolve CCA, and to re-establish the pre-merger firms of Chooi & Company (C&C) and Cheang & Ariff (C&A) effective March 31,” CCA said in a statement posted on its website.

Both firms will continue to work together on current and future engagements to better serve its clients, the statement said.

“We assure our clients that their ongoing matters with the firm will continue to be attended to by the same partners and associates under the separate firms of C&C and C&A,” the firm said.

The statement also said that from March 31, C&C and C&A will operate from their offices before the merger. C&C will operate from Menara BRDB in Bangsar while C&A will operate from Loke Mansion.

The two firms, known for their dispute resolution practice and corporate and financial services practice, merged in June 2018.
