Flexible Learning, Dual Awards, and Industry-Relevant Credentials for a Changing World
In an era defined by disruption and digital acceleration, professionals must embrace lifelong learning to remain competitive. The University of Cyberjaya (UoC) has stepped up to meet this demand with a dynamic portfolio of postgraduate programmes, crafted for working adults seeking career advancement and specialisation. With the added flexibility of Open & Distance Learning (ODL), learners can chart their academic journey on their own terms—anytime, anywhere. ODL provides fully online courses with interactive digital content, recorded lectures, and virtual collaboration tools, allowing professionals to study independently and manage their coursework around their work, family, and personal commitments.
Among its flagship offerings is the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA)—a research-driven programme tailored for senior professionals and corporate leaders who wish to deepen their expertise in strategic decision-making, organisational growth, and entrepreneurship.
UoC also offers a suite of MBA pathways including a fully online MBA via ODL, a traditional on-campus option, and the prestigious MBA Dual Award in collaboration with Federation University Australia.
“The dual award gives students a powerful advantage by combining UoC’s regional insights with global business knowledge from Australia. This programme is ideal for aspiring leaders who want to position themselves in both local and international markets,” said Dr. Priya Sukirthanandan, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Technology.
This dual award structure allows students to first complete UoC’s core MBA modules, followed by additional subjects from Federation University to receive a second internationally recognised qualification. The programme combines online lectures with face-to-face workshops, delivering a well-rounded learning experience that bridges theory and real-world business practice.
All of UoC’s MBA offerings integrate modules on artificial intelligence, sustainability, digital strategy, and innovation—making them not only academically rigorous but also aligned with emerging global trends.
UoC’s commitment to real-world impact extends beyond business. The Master in Islamic Finance, delivered fully via ODL, is crafted to meet the growing demand for Shariah-compliant financial professionals. It blends technical financial knowledge with leadership, analytical, and communication skills to prepare graduates for roles in Islamic financial institutions and emerging Islamic Fintech ventures.
The Master of Science in Occupational Safety & Health Management is another industry-centric programme, tailored for professionals overseeing workplace safety and health regulatory compliance. Delivered through flexible Open and Distance Learning (ODL), the curriculum explores key areas like ergonomics, OSH management systems, industrial hygiene, chemical safety management and many more. Upon completion, graduates qualify for registration with IOSH UK, earning them an internationally recognised credential.
“This programme isn’t just about theory; we prepare students with leadership and cross-disciplinary expertise to effectively handle OSH risks in diverse work settings worldwide. The IOSH accreditation ensures their qualifications hold global value,” said Associate Professor Dr. Rosli Abdul Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Safety and Health.
The University’s programmes are not just academically sound—they deliver real-world results. In the 2024 Ministry of Higher Education Graduate Tracer Study, UoC recorded a 94.5% Graduate Employment Rate and 94.8% Graduate Marketability Rate—placing it among the top-performing universities in Malaysia.
These achievements underscore UoC’s strategic focus on producing industry-ready graduates equipped to lead, innovate, and adapt in a competitive global environment.
Applications are now open for the July and October 2025 intakes. Prospective students are invited to join UoC’s Open Day on 21 and 22 June 2025 at its Cyberjaya campus—an opportunity to meet education counsellors, explore programme options, and find the right path forward.
