Branching from an international builder of seven decades, CDC Asset Management paves its way upon our local shores, striving to make its mark through a select number of specially curated developments that exude sheer excellence.

Well Built 77-year Foundation

CDC Asset Management (CDCAM) is the Malaysian arm of Continental Development Corporation, a responsible property developer from Taiwan. The said developer currently focuses on gateway cities such as Taipei, San Francisco and more recently in Malaysia's very own urban heartbeat, Kuala Lumpur.

The Group established its roots as a builder in 1945 thus, the developer is equipped with decades of experience, having rubbed shoulders with internationally acclaimed architects across multiple continents that has formed an outstanding network of like-minded architects with a shared goal in thought.

This has resulted in exceptionally-built developments due to the standardised practices and implementation of a more rigorous quality control system, incorporated in the design planning stage to construction management. In Malaysia market, this is achieved through the dedication of increased resources to manage the quality of construction and uplift safety standards.

CDCAM's General Manager Jared Chang explained, "Although each market is unique and has its own set of quality standards, yet, there is still much room to improve to touch the hearts of our clientele thus, every detail counts."

Jared added, "We have currently steered our efforts in the Klang Valley as the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Greater Kuala Lumpur accounts for approximately 40% of Malaysia's total output and its population is expected to grow over the 10 million population mark from its current 8.9 million number.

Upon completion of our Capri by Fraser Bukit Bintang Hotel in 2021 that is fully operational, our next endeavour includes plans for a high-end residential project in the mature and vibrant Bangsar area."

Unveiling a Local Icon

Capri by Fraser, Bukit Bintang is a 43-storey hotel residence in Kuala Lumpur

Have you come across one of the most awe-inspiring buildings in Kuala Lumpur that echoes the charisma of Bukit Bintang? The developer responsible for this eye-catching tower is none other than CDCAM.

Nestled in one of the nation's busiest streets featuring trendy shopping establishments, hip entertainment spots akin to Singapore's Orchard Road and host to the exciting New Year's countdown event similar to New York's Times Square is Capri by Fraser in Bukit Bintang, christened by Tatler Malaysia as "a hotel with strong design character".

Due to the limited availability of land for the building's construction along Jalan Imbi, CDCAM took inspiration from slim and tall structures built in New York City that exude character, despite its crowded metropolis surroundings and implemented it into the architecture of the said tower.

The said premium hotel residence commands awe, due to its towering 43-storey height is completed upon a narrow 0.36-acre of prime land sandwiched between the Ritz Carlton Hotel and a Church.

World-Class Enhancements

What truly sets Capri by Fraser in Bukit Bintang apart from conventional hotels is that the check-in lobby and other key facilities are located 40-floors above of the stylish building. While that's not all, these grandeur themed-areas are accessible via high-speed lifts to ensure that the waiting time of clients is much reduced.

SCDA Singapore architect Jin Oon expressed, "We would like hotel guests to experience utmost comfort upon arrival, through the creation of an escape away from the busy and crowded Bukit Bintang stretch, greeted by an exclusively designed yet calm lobby at the ground level, followed by a wide yet private check-in lobby that captures an eagle eye's perspective of Kuala Lumpur's splendid city views."

The Den is the social hub of the property, where guests can sit back, chill out, plug in and catch up with their fellow travellers.

Upon checking into the hotel guests can socialise, refuel and relax at the vibrant concept bar dubbed Seriously Social, merged seamlessly with the check-in lobby area that offers a wide range of beverages and entertainment. That's not all; the hotel strives to remind guests of the history unique to Bukit Bintang, through elaborate art masterpieces that showcase images of the hotel's surroundings from way back when.

Hotel guests concerned about the availability of car parks and the safety of their vehicles need not worry as Capri by Fraser in Bukit Bintang has got you covered! To increase the efficiency of the car park within the compact land parcel, on the corner of the building would notice an 18-storey automated car park connected to the hotel; the tallest of its kind in South-East Asia.

Jared said, "We had employed an acoustic consultant from the design stage of the tower not only to ensure that the automated car park system embedded in the building's architecture is in line with the 5-star hotel's permitted noise levels, but also to simulate via a designated software for the possible noise and vibration transmission caused by the said car park system to ensure that guests stay comfortable throughout their stay and that their rest is uninterrupted."

Tourists and guests visiting Capri by Fraser in Bukit Bintang will realise that getting to the hotel and around Kuala Lumpur city is a breeze due to the MRT Bukit Bintang station stone's throw away from the hotel, which also connects international travellers seamlessly to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) via KLIA Express in KL Sentral.

Adding to that, the said hotel is a mere three-minute walk to either the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur Mall or Tun Razak Exchange whereby, hotel guests can gain access to a myriad of destinations be it for business or leisure by foot; escaping the traffic jams that occur daily, especially during rush hour.

Capri by Fraser in Bukit Bintang has won several awards since opening its doors last year including the MIID Reka Design Excellence in the hospitality category and the World Travel Award for Malaysia's Leading Hotel Residence in 2022. As the cherry on top, the said building has also achieved an 86% QLASSIC standard quality score.
