“Property and home ownership is often a lifelong journey, and in recognition of the support from our valued customers over the past 30 years, we would like to present them a golden opportunity to experience more of what life has to offer, with a whirlwind adventure across the globe. Those looking for a home or investment can speak with our friendly sales consultants to learn more about our expansive portfolio in Johor,” said Lim.
IOIPG first ventured into Johor with our flagship development named Bandar Putra Kulai in 1995, which to date represents its largest signature township in the state. Spanning 5,680 acres with an estimated gross development value (GDV) of RM10 billion, it was followed by Bandar IOI Segamat in 1996, comprising 495 acres in the first phase, subsequently expanding to 607 acres. To date, the Group has about 5,065 remaining acres of landbank in Johor.
“Over time, these developments grew into mature, thriving and self-sustaining townships, thanks to their strategic location, good connectivity and comprehensive master plans. In Bandar Putra Kulai, for example, we have completed over 17,000 commercial, residential and industrial factory units to date, with a population of over 70,000,” said Lim.
“In 2006 and 2007, we expanded our Southern portfolio with Taman Lagenda Putra near the Kulai toll plaza, and Taman Kempas Utama in Johor Bahru. We also launched The Platino, a serviced apartment catering for high-rise demand in Johor Bahru, in 2012. Throughout our efforts, we support our townships with a vibrant ecosystem of commercial, recreational and hospitality components. These include IOI Mall Kulai and the IOI Palm Villa Golf & Country Resort, along with industrial hubs like IOI Industrial Park @ Iskandar Malaysia catalysing economic growth and employment.”
Today, Johor is a compelling destination for regional investment due to its strategic location, robust infrastructure and economic growth, particularly with the formation of Johor Singapore Special Economic Zone (“JS-SEZ”). The JS-EZ is designed to attract high-value investments and job creation across diverse sectors like medicine, pharmaceuticals, aviation, logistics, education, financial services, energy and the digital economy.
“There has never been a better time to invest in Johor. From exclusive landed homes to serviced apartments, shop offices and industrial factory units, our Southern portfolio offers a comprehensive range of properties for every need. Property seekers can stay tuned for exciting new launches of landed homes in Bandar Putra Kulai and Bandar IOI Segamat, as well as a SOHO development in Taman Kempas Utama near the new ETS station at Jalan Permatang in the next few months,” said Nicole Lee, Head, Group Sales & Marketing and Branding, IOIPG.
