Within two hours, all the units offered in the first phase of Illaria Hillside Homes were taken up.

DESPITE the pandemic, the first phase of Gamuda Gardens' Illaria Hillside Homes was snapped up in just two hours during the recent special public preview.

The special 2-hour preview which was held from 10am to noon on Oct 10 at the Gamuda Gardens Experience Gallery garnered more than 2,800 registrants prior to the preview.

Illaria Hillside Homes which is located at the peak of Gamuda Gardens comprises three-storey townhouses and two-storey link homes with three to four bedrooms. The land areas of Illaria Hillside homes vary from 18' x 65' to 22' x 70'.

With a total gross development value of RM257mil, Illaria Hillside Homes sits on a 13.8ha park. Planned during the pandemic, the homes incorporate multi-functional designs. They take into consideration the changes in lifestyle and what homebuyers now look for as a result of the pandemic and quarantine experience.

"Residents at Illaria Hillside Homes can look forward to the scenic view of Gamuda Gardens or spend evenings gazing at the stars from the hilltop viewing platform. At the 3.6ha private park located within the precinct, residents can find an outdoor playground and obstacle course, and a yoga space for residents of all ages," said Chu Wai Lune, General Manager of Gamuda Gardens.

Chu added that Illaria Hillside Homes is also all about its community and social spaces. These include a community garden, fruit orchard and a Sakura Lane. Co-living amenities such as a community kitchen, a barbecue area and a hilltop co-working space also make this an enviable address. The development also benefits from its auspicious layout - translating into an abundance of good, positive energy for residents.

Observing all the standard operating procedures to keep the pandemic at bay, including physical distancing, prospective buyers were seen queuing at the gallery from 8.30am to book their preferred unit.

Kevin Yap, who was there with his wife Sara since 8.30am, says they had been looking forward to the preview for some time and were very glad to have been able to secure their preferred unit. The couple is no stranger to Gamuda Gardens, having visited the Central Park and Waterfront Village in the past.

"We simply love the environment here. It gives us a very positive vibe to be surrounded by nature. With the attractive starting price for Illaria, we knew this was our opportunity to own a home here," Kevin adds.

Another buyer, Ryan Chan, who booked the two-storey link house, says that he too was initially fascinated by the attractive price for a landed home but after seeing the development and understanding the development features, he was convinced of the value of Illaria.

"This is the first development in this town where the landed homes are priced from RM480,000. So, it's been designed for the new era, and also priced right for the current market," says Chu.

Prospective buyers responded positively to the township.

The overwhelming response and enthusiasm from prospective buyers, in spite of the pandemic, are a testament to the extensive planning that has gone into crafting the town.

"We have thought through the design of the township, from the layout of the streets to offer good access and connectivity for the community to the way the 20ha pet-friendly central park with its two waterfalls and five cascading lakes anchors the entire township. And the fact that prospective buyers can experience the completed placemaking at Gamuda Gardens - that is the evidence they need for seeing is believing," Chu concluded.
