Demand for cloud services is surging across Asia Pacific as enterprises accelerate digital transformation, data modernisation and AI adoption. IDC forecasts regional cloud spending (excluding Japan) to grow from US$53 billion in 2024 to US$131 billion by 2029 — a 20% annual growth rate.
Amid this momentum, G-AsiaPacific Sdn Bhd — a wholly-owned subsidiary of K-One Technology Berhad — became the first Malaysian homegrown company to attain AWS Premier Tier Services Partner status, the highest level within the AWS Partner Network.
This recognition places G-AsiaPacific among a select group of global partners with proven technical expertise, verified customer outcomes and deep collaboration with AWS.
“Becoming a Premier Tier Partner is both a milestone and a starting point,” said Mark Goh, CEO of G-AsiaPacific. “It validates the expertise we’ve built over more than a decade with AWS, but more importantly, it opens new doors for co-innovation.”
Edwin Lim, Chairman of G-AsiaPacific’s holding company, K-One Technology Berhad, further opined that “this recognition marks an important milestone in reflecting the K-One Group’s commitment to pushing technology and innovation which empowers businesses and societies at large”.
Founded in 2008 as a pioneer cloud service provider, G-AsiaPacific now serves over 3,000 clients across Asia Pacific, offering cloud advisory, brokerage and professional IT services. While the company supports multiple cloud platforms, AWS remains its core focus, underpinning its depth of specialisations and certifications.
This alignment enables G-AsiaPacific to deliver secure, efficient and compliant cloud environments across ASEAN using global AWS best practices combined with strong local insight.
“G-AsiaPacific is built from Malaysian roots, but our vision has always been regional,” Goh said. “We want to help organisations across Asia Pacific reimagine how technology drives growth.”
Enterprises across Southeast Asia are moving beyond basic cloud migration towards full-scale digital transformation to strengthen business resilience and competitiveness — a shift that G-AsiaPacific’s leadership has witnessed first-hand.
“Enterprises are no longer just moving workloads — they’re modernising applications, embedding AI and analytics, and looking for managed services that deliver measurable business outcomes,” said Goh.
To facilitate this evolution in how organisations adopt and leverage cloud technology, the company delivers comprehensive solutions across cloud migration, modernisation, analytics, security and daily operations, sometimes implemented entirely within AWS environments.
Complementing its core solutions, the company is also building steady expertise in AWS-native AI, automation and data intelligence — helping customers begin their shift towards secure, governed, data-driven operations aligned with the region’s digital transformation trajectory.
A 2025 survey by IDC and UiPath found that 86% of Southeast Asian organisations plan to deploy AI agents within the next 12 months, while cybersecurity and data management remain among the region’s top investment priorities.
One of G-AsiaPacific’s recent flagship projects with Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) reflects the growing move among major industry players to upgrade and digitise their operations.
“MMM had been relying on ageing, outage-prone on-premise infrastructure that caused frequent downtime, slow provisioning and fragmented data governance,” said Goh.
“Working through the AWS Migration Acceleration Programme (MAP), we re-platformed their core systems onto Amazon EC2, deployed a secure AWS Landing Zone with a governed multi-account setup, and automated operations using AWS Systems Manager,” he elaborated.
Additionally, the company centralised monitoring and compliance using Amazon CloudWatch and AWS Config, providing MMM with real-time visibility into its operational health.
The transformation boosted system availability to 99.99%, cut provisioning time from 48 to two hours, and reduced the maintenance workload by about 50%, freeing engineers to focus on higher-value initiatives and enabling MMM to operate on a more resilient, scalable foundation that accelerates decision-making and business agility.
Goh notes that its experience with MMM has become a blueprint for G-AsiaPacific’s similar modernisation efforts with clients across other industries, including retail, distribution and manufacturing.
As the cloud landscape evolves at an accelerating pace, talent remains a defining factor in sustaining innovation, maintaining technical excellence and delivering lasting value to customers.
“Talent has always been the backbone of our success,” said Goh.
He highlighted that the company follows AWS’s best practices in developing and empowering its people — from certification pathways and technical immersion programmes to real-world solution building — investing heavily in continuous learning to keep teams aligned with the latest AWS frameworks across cloud architecture, security, DevOps, data and AI.
“This combination of structured AWS-aligned training and hands-on experience ensures we remain ahead of the curve and continue delivering meaningful outcomes for our customers,” Goh said.
G-AsiaPacific’s recognition as the only Premier Tier Partner in Malaysia with AWS Managed Services Provider (MSP) specialisation underscores its ability to manage the entire cloud lifecycle — from migration to 24/7 operations and continuous optimisation.
The company’s commitment includes operating a dedicated, around-the-clock managed services practice that enables enterprises across ASEAN to maintain secure, compliant and high-performing cloud environments with consistent reliability.
Over the past five years, the company has been named AWS Partner of the Year (Malaysia) three times — in 2019, 2021 and 2024 — reflecting its proven performance and client trust. Most recently, G-AsiaPacific was named a finalist for the AWS MSP Partner of the Year — Global award.
This milestone not only strengthens G-AsiaPacific’s leadership position, but also advances Malaysia’s digital economy as organisations across ASEAN accelerate cloud and AI adoption.
For enterprises, partnering with a Premier Tier Partner provides access to AWS resources, co-investment programmes and technical expertise that reduce adoption risks and speed up transformation.
Looking ahead, G-AsiaPacific aims to deepen regional collaborations, scale its managed services footprint, and help more organisations harness AI-driven innovation through AWS’s evolving ecosystem.
