The developer bagged its third consecutive win at the prestigious FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards
For property developer SkyWorld Development Bhd, all projects under its portfolio, be it signature or affordable properties, must be built with the same quality and consistency across the board. Founded on the purpose to “Make Living Better”, SkyWorld is committed to being the best city developer in Malaysia, providing an unparalleled living experience to modern city communities — current and future.
It is this steadfast devotion to value and quality that elevates SkyWorld beyond borders, garnering trust and earning its place on the global stage.
SkyWorld’s promise and delivery were applauded in the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards 2023, where SkyAwani 2 Residences was the World Gold winner in the Affordable Housing category.
Often referred to as the “Oscars of Real Estate”, the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards, organised by the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI), celebrates the most outstanding real estate projects worldwide that exhibit innovation, quality, architecture and design, community benefits, environmental impacts and sustainability.
SkyAwani 2 Residences is part of SkyWorld’s Awani series, which offers affordable homes to Malaysians under the Residensi Wilayah programme. Upon completion in 2020, the development achieved a notable QLASSIC score of 79%, the highest rating within the Residensi Wilayah category in Malaysia, by the Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CIDB).
The QLASSIC system measures and evaluates the workmanship quality of a building’s construction work based on the Construction Industry Standard (CIS 7:2006). All homes offered by SkyWorld are put under the scrutiny of this evaluation system.
Located off Jalan Ipoh in Sentul, SkyAwani 2 features two towers of serviced apartments (39- and 44-storeys), with nine levels of podium parking and a three-storey stratified shopoffices. When launched in 2016, all 414 units in Tower A were taken up in just three hours. This is truly a testament of homebuyers’ trust and confidence in the SkyWorld brand.
SkyWorld continued its upward trajectory with its second consecutive World Gold award at the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards 2024 for its SkyAwani 3 Residences, the third instalment of its Awani series. Located in the vibrant area of Setapak, Kuala Lumpur, this project also achieved an impressive QLASSIC score of 79% when it was completed in 2022. Units were priced at RM300,000 with a built-up of 800 sq ft. The developer offered more than 22 active and recreational facilities, including a swimming pool with a bubble jet jacuzzi, a games room and a full basketball court.
Meanwhile, a unique feature of SkyAwani 3 is “Malaysia’s Highest Residential SkyBridge”, which was recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records. Situated at 170.55m above ground, the skybridge on Level 52 spans 550m, interconnecting all three towers. SkyWorld also included a jogging track, giant chess, outdoor fitness areas and ample spaces for social interaction, further enhancing the sky-living experience for all walks of life.
For the record, SkyWorld has achieved an average score of 81% across all its projects. Among its highest scores was an 86% for The Valley Residences, which also chalked up a 92.63% Safety and Health Assessment in Construction (SHASSIC) score from the Construction Research Institute of Malaysia (CREAM).
The SkyAwani series earned accolades at The Edge Malaysia Affordable Urban Housing Excellence Awards for three consecutive years — SkyAwani 2 in 2022, SkyAwani 3 in 2023, and SkyAwani 5 in Sentul in 2024.
While SkyWorld was previously recognised for its affordable home projects, the developer clinched the World Silver award in the Residential High-Rise category for its parkfront development, SkyLuxe On The Park Residences, in Bukit Jalil, at the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards 2025 this year.
Completed in February 2020, SkyLuxe On The Park Residences consists of 477 units spread across two 44-storey towers on a freehold parcel next to Bukit Jalil Recreational Park. The project achieved a 100% take-up rate. Additionally, it also scored an impressive 85% QLASSIC High Score in 2020 under the Residential High-Rise category, the highest score in Malaysia that year.
SkyLuxe also incorporates the SkyWorld Healthy Home philosophy where the development prioritises natural ventilation, access to greenery and thoughtful spatial planning. It offers resort-style facilities such as an infinity pool and cantilevered gym, all designed to support a healthier and more balanced urban lifestyle.
Truly, SkyWorld continues to raise the bar with its philosophy of building homes that encompasses quality built, sustainability and liveability.
