KUALA LUMPUR (March 11): Datuk Dr Zunika Mohamed has resigned as a non-independent non-executive director of FGV Holdings Bhd, effective Friday (March 11).

The plantation group told Bursa Malaysia that the resignation was due to the change to her work portfolio at the Economic Planning Unit of the Prime Minister's Department. Currently, she is the Deputy Director-General (Policy) of the EPU.

She was appointed to the FGV board on Feb 10, 2020.

According to FGV, Zunika is an economist with more than 25 years of civil service experience, having worked for the Prime Minister's Department, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-based industry.

At market close on Friday, FGV shares were two sen or 1.03% lower at RM1.93, giving it a market capitalisation of RM7.04 billion.
