PETALING JAYA (May 6): Home-grown Zenith Hotels & Resorts held a soft opening for its third hotel in Malaysia on April 30, expanding the hospitality brand’s footprint in the local market. Strategically situated in the heart of Tanah Rata, the new hotel called Zenith Cameron is sprawled on a 3.43-acre land. The event was officiated by Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail.

Situated within Malaysia’s largest agricultural region, the eco-conscious hotel was designed by AREA Architect Sdn Bhd and comprises 175 contemporary guestrooms including 22 suites. Aligned with the hospitality brand’s new vision to deliver Cameron-style accommodation with the comforts of a home, the hotel stands at nine floors tall. Zenith Cameron is targeted at families, friends and business associates.

Zenith Cameron hotel manager Ramesh Bahadur said in a press release: “We are excited and honoured to introduce Zenith Cameron, adding to The Zenith Hotels & Resorts’ growing portfolio.”

He added: “From inspired architecture and interior design to delectable food and spectacular events space, Zenith Cameron celebrates excellence and caters to a discerning clientele who will enjoy this city. We look forward to creating a truly exceptional lifestyle experience in this hilltop location and we believe our hotel will become the new landmark of the Highlands.” 

The guestrooms range from 37 to 187 sq m, and each room boasts a spacious private balcony overlooking the terrains of Cameron Highlands. The hotel will have three food and beverage concepts that include an all-day lifestyle outlet, an authentic Italian restaurant and a semi-alfresco bar lounge. The hotel will feature an outdoor swimming pool, children’s play pool, a fully equipped fitness centre, sauna and a business centre. 

For meetings and events, the hotel includes over 2,250 sq m of space to cater for private meetings, conferences, weddings or social gatherings. There are also 12 function rooms that are spread over two levels. The function rooms are fully fitted with enhanced equipment, with a capacity of 10 to 860 guests

The hotel welcomes independent travellers, couples and groups who are interested in short or long stays with special rates from May 1 to  June 30, 2021.
