KUALA LUMPUR (March 8): Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) has announced the resignation of its non-independent and non-executive director Datuk Zamzuri Abdul Aziz effective Tuesday (March 8).

Zamzuri is no longer the Ministry of Finance's (MOF) representative on MAHB's board as he has taken up a new position in civil service, the airport operator said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

Zamzuri, 52, is now the Health Ministry's deputy secretary general.

He joined MOF in 2003 as assistant secretary in the administration department before being promoted to principal assistant director in the budget management department.

He was then promoted to deputy director (general service sector) at MOF's National Budget Office, a position he held from August 2010 until November 2018. He then held the position of under secretary at MOF's government procurement division until February 2022.

With Zamzuri's resignation, MAHB also announced that Datuk Dr Amiruddin Muhammed has ceased to be an alternate director to Zamzuri. Amiruddin is the deputy under secretary (strategy and general) of MOF's investment division.

Zamzuri and Amiruddin were appointed to the board of MAHB on Feb 10, 2020.

MAHB shares closed up six sen or 1% to RM6.06, giving a market capitalisation of RM10.05 billion. The counter saw some three million shares change hands.
