KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 19): Pakatan Harapan's (PH's) Puchong candidate Yeo Bee Yin and Segambut candidate Hannah Yeoh have confirmed that the Election Commission’s presiding officers have signed Form 14, also known as PACA, at their respective constituencies.
The two candidates earlier took to Twitter with allegations that the EC's presiding officers had refused to sign the form, leading to a hold up in the results.
"For P103 Puchong, PP2 Saluran 14 (Stream 14), the KTM (Ketua Tempat Mengundi) refused to sign Borang 14. Please rectify @sprgovmy," Yeo tweeted at around 8.23pm, which she updated in about an hour later with a quote retweet, saying that the form has been signed.
Hannah, who tweeted earlier that "Segambut: No results coming in because presiding officers (KTM) do not want to sign Form 14 for our PACAs (polling/counting agents)" was heard telling BFM later that the form had been signed.
Currently Yeo leads Puchong with 16,076 votes, while Yeoh is leading in Segambut with 6,068 votes, according to Astro Awani.
Yeoh in 2018 won the Chinese-majority seat with a majority of 45,702 votes.
While Yeo, who won Bakri in Johor in 2018, took over the contest for Puchong seat this round from three-term winner Gobind Singh Deo, as he vacated the seat to contest in Damansara.
