IF whisky is your poison of choice and you are always up to try something new, Auchentoshan’s New Malt Order at Bangsar’s popular WIP Café & Restaurant could be right up your alley. Scotch whisky Auchentoshan Single Malt is presented to whisky lovers and novices in this bar takeover that will continue for the next few weeks, beginning today.

The brand takes pride in its origin, a city famed for its art nouveau architecture, culture and thriving music scene — the magnetism and eccentricity of the urban jungle being characteristics that are translate in the body of the whisky. Made in the Scottish city of Glasgow, the distillery employs a unique triple distillation method in the making of its whisky, resulting in a range of refined and extremely smooth yet complex flavours.

First timers can have a taste of this gutsy beverage, which can be enjoyed on the rocks or mixed into a cocktail while fans of the brand can revisit its taste at the pop-up Taste Experiment Bar. For the complete whisky experience, the bar takeover will also take patrons on a gastronomical journey as guest chef Christopher Yee serves up his very own creative recipes by pairing canapes with Auchentoshan, to bring out the delicate flavours of the whiskey.

“Auchentoshan stands for its artisanal, approachable and alternative take on single malt whisky. This is why we have introduced The New Malt Order. We want to invite people to explore the diverse taste of single malt whisky in an unconventional way. During the bar takeover, whisky lovers will be able to create bespoke drinks that they enjoy while still amplifying the key flavours of Auchentoshan and delivering the essence of our whisky to patrons,” said Sally Lim, marketing manager of Beam Suntory South East Asia.

The New Malt Order bar takeover will take place from tonight till July 30 at WIP Café & Restaurant, Ground Floor, Bangsar Shopping Centre, Jalan Maarof, Bukit Bandaraya, Kuala Lumpur. Visit www.facebook.com/wip.kl for more details.
