KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 15): Rohas Tecnic Bhd's controlling shareholder Tan Sri Wan Azmi Wan Hamzah has disposed of 3.75 million shares, representing a 0.79% stake, in the company.
In a filing today, Rohas Tecnic said Wan Azmi, who is also the group non-executive chairman, sold the shares on Jan 12.
Following the disposal, Wan Azmi is left with a 43.75% stake in Rohas Tecnic, comprising a 10.59% direct stake and 33.16% indirect stake — held by wife Puan Sri Nik Anida Nik Manshor — in the steel tower fabricator.
Wan Azmi was responsible for injecting Rohas-Euco Industries Bhd, which he took private in 2007, into Tecnic Group Bhd in a reverse takeover which subsequently saw the merged entity take up its present name when the exercise was completed in March 2017.
Shares of Rohas Tecnic rose 3 sen or 2% to close at RM1.53 today, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM723.17 million.
