KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 24): Vizione Holdings Bhd’s net profit leapt to RM529,000 for its first quarter ended Aug 31, 2017 (1QFY18) from RM121,000 in the previous corresponding period on higher revenue from its construction segment.

In its Bursa filing today, it said revenue more than doubled to RM21.34 million from RM8.61 million on higher contributions from the construction of four People’s Housing Program projects, of which three are located in Sabah and one in Kelantan.

Moving forward, it added that with the completion of its acquisition of Wira Syukur (M) Sdn Bhd (WSSB), which was concluded this month, it expects the group’s performance to be further strengthened with WSSB’s on-going projects worth over RM1 billion and confirmed construction orders of RM2.5 billion.

Vizione share price dropped 0.5 sen or 3.33% to 14.5 sen, with a market capitalisation of RM513.08 million. The stock has gained 48.7% in the past 12 months.
