Vard clinches $300 mil contract to build 15 module carrier vessels

SINGAPORE (May 12): Vard Holdings has clinched a shipbuilding contract worth about US$300 million ($410.2 million) from Dubai-headquartered Topaz Energy and Marine.

It will design and construct 15 module carrier vessels, which will be operated by Topaz through a consortium led by Blue Water Shipping for the end-client Tengizchevroil.

Delivery is scheduled to be between 3Q 2017 and 2Q 2018.
