KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 2): Valiram Group has announced four new executive appointments across the group, including its regional outposts in Thailand and Indonesia.

In a statement, it noted that Linda Lim had been appointed the country general manager for Thailand, while Kunal Kapoor the country general manager for Indonesia.

Additionally, Warodom Pranbunpook has been named as the general manager of the retail group’s newly minted sports division, while Jason Blejwas joined as the group-level senior vice-president for merchandising and planning.

“Valiram has always been committed to creating exceptional experiences for our customers throughout our businesses across the region, and we believe that these individuals will continue to uphold that commitment and drive success in their respective divisions and markets.”

In the statement today, Valiram stated that Linda was instrumental in the growth of the Kate Spade New York brand in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Australiaand Vietnam, overseeing the launch and operations of 30 stores in both downtown and travel retail.

Kunal — who joined Valiram in December 2019 as the general manager of the group’s travel retail division — has over 15 years of experience in luxury and lifestyle fashion retail. He has management experience as well as top- and bottom-line responsibility in key retail companies operating mainly in the Middle East, including Landmark Group and Rivoli Group, saidValiram.

In the statement, Valiram also stated that Warodom, also known as Jay, had a strong 19-year track record in brand management of leading global brands in Thailand and Southeast Asian markets, including names such as ASICS and Onitsuka Tiger.

Jay joined Valiram in November 2020 and is based in the group’s Bangkok office as the general manager of sports, overseeing the expansion and development of the sports division.

Meanwhile, Jason, based at the Valiram headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, brings with him more than 18 years of experience in the industry.

Valiram said that he had successfully opened and managed retail locations across 12 countries in flagship department stores and first-tier international airports. Before joining Valiram, he spent eight years at DFS Group in Hong Kong.
