MELAKA (Nov 20): Barisan Nasional has retained Rim as its candidate Khaidhirah Abu Zahar — who is making her electoral debut — has an unassailable lead.
Malaysiakini reported that she is on track to win with less than 50% of the votes cast and there are only about 880 votes left to be counted.
Her PN opponent Azalina Abdurrahman is trailing at a distant second followed by Harapan's Prasanth Kumar Brakasam at 7.50pm.
Malaysiakini also reported that at 7.55pm, BN's Zulkiflee Mohd Zin has won 2,765 votes while PN and Harapan are behind with 1,185 and 773 votes respectively in Taboh Naning.
There are an estimated 1,300 votes left to be counted but BN is already ahead with 1,580 votes.
