KUALA LUMPUR (March 3): UDA Holdings Bhd has told employees working at its headquarters (HQ) here to work from home as part of measures to contain the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19).

This follows news that its chairman Hisham Hamdan was tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday. He is currently being treated at a government hospital.

In a statement today, UDA said the group has taken proactive steps by sanitising the UDA HQ at Blok Menara, Kompleks Pertama yesterday, where all staff at the HQ were allowed to leave early to facilitate the clean-up.

"In enhancing security and health standards, UDA has restricted the flow of outsiders to the HQ. In addition, UDA is conducting health screening and temperature checks at the HQ lobby. Visitors and staff are also provided with masks and hand sanitisers as a precautionary measure."
