KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 21): Topvision Eye Specialist Bhd made its debut on the LEAP Market of Bursa Malaysia with a premium of 27.78% higher at 23 sen from its offer price of 18 sen.
Speaking to the media this morning, Topvision CEO Kenny Liew Hock Nean said investors were confident with the company's track record.
"The eyes business has improved. Today, youngsters always expose their eyes to the screen," he said, adding that young people have vision problems nowadays.
Topvision plans to raise RM12 million, with the bulk of the proceeds to be used to set up a specialist centre in Klang Valley.
It proposed 66.8 million placement shares, representing 26.13% of the enlarged issued share capital at 18 sen per share. Based on the 255.59 million shares, it will have a market capitalisation of RM58.78 million at 23 sen.
Topvision offers eye care services ranging from general eye care and evaluation to treatment of complex eye diseases such as vitreoretinal surgeries. It has five eye specialist centres in Selangor and Johor.
Its stock short name is Topvisn, while the stock code is 03013.
