KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 24): Boiler services and maintenance provider Technofit Sdn Bhd has picked industry-specific enterprise software provider Epicor Software Corporation’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution, Epicor ERP, to integrate its business processes to increase efficiency and accelerate business growth.
In a statement, Technofit, which counts clients from the infrastructure, power generation, and oil and gas sectors in Malaysia, said it has now expanded its business scope and activities to companies in engineering, procurement, and construction installation.
The company said it is also engaged in commissioning for mechanical and electrical services, together with industry-compliant maintenance activities for various clients.
On its tie-up with Epicor, Technofit said as its business grew with more client projects, manual finance data processing using spreadsheets was no longer feasible.
Technofit SNR quality & HSE manager Mohd Kamal Zawawi said having warehouses and offices in separate locations added complexity to the data management process, and with the high volume of projects and ad-hoc customer requests, the company's processes were further strained and the risk for human error increased.
He said with Epicor’s ERP solution, Technofit expects better control on project costs and budgeting.
“Without a reliable ERP system in place, we had limited visibility on the overall health of the company's finances which proved to be costly to the organisation in the long run,” he said.
Meanwhile, Epicor Software regional vice president for Asia Vincent Tang said with access to real-time data, improved visibility and ability to collaborate across business units within the organisation, Technofit is empowered to make better business decisions, improve efficiency and gain a competitive edge in the market.
