KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 11): TDM Bhd said its chief financial officer Amir Mohd Hafiz Amir Khalid is resigning from the post, effective Feb 28.
In a bourse filing, the plantation group said he is resigning to pursue other career opportunities.
He is the second senior official to leave the group after former CEO Zainal Abidin Shariff Amir Mohd, who resigned on Nov 27 last year.
TDM reported that Zainal resigned due to disagreement with the group’s chairman Raja Datuk Idris Kamarudin over issues involving the group's palm oil trading activities.
Amir joined TDM in 2007 as group manager for accounts, after working for Petronas and Ernst & Young, according to the group’s 2019 annual report.
Shares of TDM closed down half a sen or 1.79% at 27.5 sen today, valuing the group at RM473.79 million. The counter saw 6.47 million shares traded.
