KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia Bhd has added TA Securities Holdings Bhd to its Islamic participating organisations (Islamic POs) list, making it the 11th stockbroking house and Islamic PO partnering with Bursa Malaysia-i.
“We hope that with the support from our brokers, we will be able to provide a conducive marketplace for the syariah investing community which will, in turn, continue to spur the growth and vibrancy of the Islamic capital market domestically and regionally,” Bursa Malaysia chief executive officer Datuk Seri Tajuddin Atan said in a statement yesterday.
TA Enterprise Bhd managing director and chief executive officer Datin Alicia Tiah said the inclusion will complement and broaden TA Securities’ product offerings.
With the addition of TA Securities, there are 11 Islamic POs carrying out Islamic stockbroking services, of which one (BIMB Securities Sdn Bhd) is on a full-fledged basis and the other 10 are on a “window” basis.
The other Islamic POs are Affin Hwang Investment Bank Bhd, AmInvestment Bank Bhd, CIMB Investment Bank Bhd, Hong Leong Investment Bank Bhd, Jupiter Securities Sdn Bhd, Kenanga Investment Bank Bhd, Malacca Securities Sdn Bhd, Maybank Investment Bank Bhd and RHB Investment Bank Bhd.
