KUALA LUMPUR (July 22): Inix Technologies Holdings Bhd said its suspended director Mohd Anuar Mohd Hanadzlah (pix) is suing the company for defamation.
In a bourse filing today, the company said Mohd Anuar is claiming for general damages of RM1 million, as well as other damages to be determined by the court.
He is also seeking an injunction against Inix Technologies and its agents from disseminating, speaking, writing or publishing any injurious words against him.
Mohd Anuar is also demanding a written apology from the company to be published in The Edge and The Star newspapers within seven days from the court order.
He is also demanding that the company be prevented from publishing in any form, accusations that would defame his reputation.
On July 18, Inix Technologies said it has suspended Mohd Anuar Mohd Hanadzlah as its non-independent and non-executive director to carry out an independent investigation. He had served as the company’s group managing director previously.
Inix Technologies’ shares closed one sen or 8% lower at 11.5 sen today, giving it a total market capitalisation of RM37 million.
