KUALA LUMPUR (July 22): Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC) was named as "Malaysia’s Hospital Company of the Year" at the recently held virtual 2021 Frost & Sullivan Asia-Pacific Best Practices Awards.
SJMC, part of the Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care group, was recognised for its excellence in three areas which Frost & Sullivan deemed as “imperatives” in the digital health industry: Transformative Mega Trends, Disruptive Technologies and Innovative Business Models.
In a statement, SJMC chief executive officer (CEO) Trish Hogan said the award was a testament to the group’s years of being a trailblazer with multiple firsts in the industry and a deep commitment to exemplary cancer care and high patient care standards.
She said as part of Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care, SJMC’s dedicated team of doctors and staff will remain steadfast in serving the community by working through challenging circumstances to provide excellent healthcare services both locally and internationally.
Meanwhile, Frost & Sullivan Healthcare and Life Sciences research manager Siddharth Shah said in facilitating personalised medicine, SJMC not only offers personalised care for cancer patients but also supports treatment with state-of-the-art technologies, such as advanced imaging equipment and digital surgery solutions.
“It focuses on providing premium healthcare services, such as robotic rehabilitation services.
“SJMC also launched telehealth services for patients amid the Covid-19 pandemic to give online consultations and support sessions, including with physiotherapists and clinical psychologists,” said Shah.
