Hume Industries Bhd (-ve)
SHARES of Hume Industries (Fundamental: 1.1/3, Valuation: 0.3/3) have been trading within the range of RM3.47-3.92 since the beginning of the year. The stock closed at RM3.85 yesterday, down 3.0% year-to-date.
There was no significant development recently but the company is expected to announce its 4QFYJune2015 earnings results by end-August.
For 9MFY15, revenue jumped ten-fold to RM301.0 million while net profit was RM31.6 million, a reversal from net loss of RM4.0 million in 9MFY14, mainly due to contribution from the newly acquired construction materials business. Net gearing stood at 85.4% at end-March.
Formerly known as Narra Industries, its principal activities included the design and manufacture of furniture, and interior design fit-out works.
Having completed the acquisition of Hume Concrete Sdn Bhd and Hume Cement Sdn Bhd on October 20, 2014, Hume Industries is now principally involved in the manufacture and sale of concrete and cement, and cement-related products.
