Chin Hin Group Bhd
SHARES in Chin Hin Group Bhd (fundamental: N/A, valuation: N/A) triggered our momentum algorithm for the first time ever last Friday, after trades of near 8 million shares, which was more than double its 200-day average volume of 3.5 million. The counter rose two sen or 2.3% to close at 89 sen.
The integrated building materials manufacturer’s share price has been on the rise in recent days, gaining seven sen or 8.5% since its closing of 82 sen on July 29.
Following its initial public offering in March this year, the group is in the midst of carrying out its expansion plan, which includes upgrading of existing facilities.
For the first quarter ended March 31, 2016, Chin Hin’s net profit fell 25% to RM5.01 million from RM6.71 million a year earlier, as revenue fell 10% to RM284.38 million from RM317.63 million.
The stock currently trades at 1.44 times its book value. The group announced a first interim dividend of 1.5 sen per share for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2016.
